Welcome to The Posted Word Studio which derives it’s name from Deuteronomy 6:9(ESV) a passage in scripture which says, “You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” We are a calligraphy and design studio based in Portland Oregon.
My name is Lisa Sloop. I am an architect turned calligrapher. While in college I took a single calligraphy class and fell in love with it. Several years and many classes later I have rediscovered calligraphy. I look forward to sharing my work with you.
My work includes broadsides, calligraphic handmade books, customized cards, personalizing scripture in book or broadside format, as well as other personalized gifts. I especially love the challenge of designing a layout that gives meaning to words.
